Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

At ea Change, we are dedicated to upholding the highest ethical standards in all aspects of our business. Modern slavery and human trafficking are grave human rights violations, and we are committed to ensuring that they have no place in our operations or supply chains. This statement outlines the actions we have taken to identify, prevent, and address modern slavery risks in compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our Organisation

ea Change specialises in business transformation recruitment for both permanent and non-permanent resources across the Business Change, Digital Data and Technology sectors.

ea Change conducts thorough checks on all candidates introduced to clients to ensure that their identity is clearly verified. This process includes reviewing documentation such as proof of right to work. Additional checks are carried out as required by specific client compliance standards. In cases where there is an additional layer in the contractual chain, such as a limited company, we verify documentation including company incorporation details, insurance coverage, and VAT registration to ensure full compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Our Supply Chains

  • Engagement with Umbrella Companies – When engaging with umbrella companies—organisations employing contractors for temporary assignments—we conduct rigorous due diligence to ensure full compliance with all relevant local laws and regulations. Only those companies that meet our strict standards are added to our preferred supplier list. This list is available to candidates seeking contractor opportunities with EA Change and is regularly monitored to maintain our high standards.
  • Engagement with Limited Companies – For instances where we engage with a limited company—where the candidate is a director or employee—we apply the same thorough due diligence process to ensure compliance and alignment with EA Change’s standards.
  • Maintaining High Standards – Additional due diligence may be conducted based on specific contract requirements. We remain committed to transparency and integrity in all supplier relationships.
  • Industry Affiliations – EA Change is a proud member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), and we prioritise partnerships with organisations holding similar professional affiliations where possible.

Relevant Policies

Our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking is reflected in our internal policies. These policies include:

  • Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy
  • Complaints Management Policy
  • Corporate Responsibility Policy
  • Ethical Code for Suppliers Policy
  • Modern Slavery Policy
  • Tax Evasion Policy
  • Whistleblowing Policy

Due Diligence Processes

At ea Change, we recognise that slavery and human trafficking risks may exist in our supply chain, especially where operations are beyond our direct control. To mitigate these risks, we continuously enhance our due diligence and supplier engagement processes, including:

  • Conducting thorough due diligence on new suppliers, including reviewing modern slavery documentation, before adding them to our preferred supplier list.
  • Restricting subcontracting and requiring prior approval where it is allowed.
  • Reviewing and updating contracts to include anti-slavery clauses in line with the Modern Slavery Act.
  • Strengthening our audit rights and conducting annual due diligence on existing suppliers.

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards slavery and human trafficking and expect all supply chain partners to uphold our values.

Staff, contractors, and others are encouraged to report concerns us. Our Board of Directors takes such reports seriously, ensuring prompt and effective investigations. If issues are identified, we take appropriate action, including:

  • Collaborating with organisations to improve standards.
  • Removing suppliers from our preferred list and notifying law enforcement if necessary.

Monitoring & Compliance

We are committed to continually evaluating the effectiveness of our efforts to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains. To achieve this, we have implemented the following measures:

  • Ongoing training for all employees to raise awareness and ensure understanding of modern slavery risks.
  • Monitoring and addressing any complaints or concerns raised regarding potential violations.
  • Maintaining regular communication with our suppliers to ensure they understand and comply with our expectations regarding ethical practices.

This statement is made in accordance with Section 54 (1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and serves as ea Change’s slavery and human trafficking statement.
